Description PDPR01P4/02P4 Slim Blade Plane^TM provides the user with convenient interconnect between a Serial ATA enabled System and four Serial ATA Hard Drives in the storage enclosure. Each Serial ATA Hard Drive connects to the Integrated Signal and Power Right Angle Receptacle. PDPR01P4 version is equipped with VSC7175 based Serial ATA Port Replicator Switch System providing live interconnect to one out of four Serial ATA Hard Drive with option to withdraw power from inactive drives. PDPR02P4 version provides direct Serial ATA interconnect to all four drives with capability to power all drives on demand with or without power sequencing. Slim Blade Plane^TM concept targets applications where Large Storage Systems make use of large numbers of Serial ATA Hard Drives and where power consumption and operating cost are a high concern. Convenient “No Wire” interconnectivity on the system side allows for Storage System configurability and upgradeability on demand.
